To market to market

France is famous for its markets, it’s a shopping experience not to be missed.  Local residents still prefer to buy their quality meat and vegetables at their local fresh food market; while you will pay a little extra than supermarkets, the quality is far superior but most of all, it makes shopping an olfactory experience! In summer there are many night markets but the fresh food markets remain open all year round.

Shabby Chic - Brocante

The second Sunday of each month you should head to Candes-St.Martin/Montsoreau for a great Brocante. Even if you are not buying, the backdrop of antiques, paintings, books and furniture against the levee of the Loire river is very picturesque.
